The Deacons will meet tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock.

This Tuesday we will stuff over 2000 plastic eggs with Easter candy for our Children's Celebration.  If you can help with this please come to the lounge at 9 am.

This Wednesday, April 8, our children's missions groups will resume.  All children from age 4 through 5th grade are welcome to come.  The groups will meet from 6:30 to 7:15 pm.

On Thursday, April 9, at 7:00 pm, we will have our Maundy Thursday service.  This is a time of music and reflection on the events leading up to Christ's crucifixion.  We will celebrate communion and participate in a Service of Shadows.  Please join us.

The Church office will be closed on April 10th in observance of Good Friday

The Children's Easter Celebration for toddlers through grade 3 will take place this Saturday, from 10am-12pm.

Help is still needed in several areas.  Please check the bulletin board across from the church office and sign up.  All volunteers are asked to be at the church by 8:30 am.  Coffee, juice and doughnuts will be served.

Next Sunday, April 12, is Easter Sunday, when we will commemorate Christ's resurrection.  During the service our Adult Choir will present the cantata "How Can It Be?".  This will be a joyous time of celebration.  Come and invite your friends.

A Small Group Bible Study using Max Lucado's book "For the Tough Times" will begin on Thursday, April 16th, from 6:45-7:45 pm, for four weeks. Connie Golihew will be the study leader.  The class is limited to 10 people.  If you would like to participate a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the office.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Heritage Baptist Church on Monday, April 20th, from 1-7 pm.  If you would be willing to give a pint of life-saving blood, please speak to Ida Russell.

The backpacks for the Backpack Buddies project have arrived and your food and monetary donations have been overwhelming.  Please continue to keep this project in your hearts and prayers as we begin the week of April 13th meeting the needs of some very hungry children.

We are asking for Mother's Day cards in unsealed stamped envelopes for detainees at the Jennifer Road Detention Center to send to their Mothers.  There are approximately 650 detainees (men and women) presently at the Center.  Other churches/groups are also collecting cards.  Deadline for bringing cards is April 30th.  Please bring the cards to the church office or give to Frankie Morehead.  They will be delivered to the inmates on May 4th and 5th.
