As part of our observance of Senior Adult Sunday, our Minister to Senior Adults, Rev. Charles Barnes, will be bringing the message in this morning's service.  In addition, all of the hymns sung today are from The Broadman Hymnal, a prime source of the "good old hymns we used to sing."

The Deacons will meet tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock in the church lounge.

The Trustees will meet this Thursday at 7 pm in the church lounge.

Come and Make the Heritage Building Sparkle this Saturday. We will have a facility care day beginning at 9 am to help clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the building.  All you need to bring is your elbow grease!

Vacation Bible School is June 29-July 3 from 9 am - 12:30 pm.  Registration is now open to church members only and any children coming with them.  If your children are ready for a swamp stompin good time at Crocodile Dock, please pick up your registration forms on a table in the narthex or the church office now.  When registration opens to the public tomorrow, May 4th, classes will fill fast and space is limited.  Sign up today!!

Our VBS is free to all children participating.  Because of this we rely on you, our generous congregation, to donate some supplies to offset material costs.  Not all items need to be "new" and they can be dropped in the box outside the office.  All donations are greatly appreciated and the following items are still needed: 1) lots of cheese cloth; 2) clear packing tape; 3) natural colored rope and twine; 4) rolls of brown paper; 5) old greenery, ivy or leafy vines; 6) large flattened cardboard boxes; 7) used or new wooden spoons; 7) wooden chop sticks.

The church's May business meeting will take place on the 13th at 6:30 pm.  If you are a committee chairperson, please let the office know no later than Friday, May 8th, your intent to present an input from your committee.  If you will be presenting a motion, a written copy must be given to the office that same Friday

On Sunday, May 17th, our Youth Choir will present the musical Voice of Truth during the morning worship service.  Make plans to come.

Senior Adults!  Please sign up today if you are interested in going to Friendly Farm Restaurant in Upperco, Maryland, on Tuesday, May 19th, for lunch. The church bus and van will leave from the parking lot at 10:45 am. Dining is family style with choices of individual entrees.  After dining you will want to check out the assortment of delicious baked goods for sale in the lobby or browse the gift shop and country store.  A copy of the menu and sign up sheet is posted on the Senior Adult bulletin board.

Needed: Sunday School teachers and Extended Care workers.  If interested, please speak to Everett Golihew.

Food Pantry Distribution: Tuesday, May 5th - Mary Ann Fulford and Thursday, May 7th - Bob Dulin.

May 10th Extended Care Workers: Nursery: Pat Pope; Preschool: 2's and 3's: Julie Golihew and Jordan Slocum; 4's and 5's: Mike Irwin and Adam Cogliano. Van Driver: Clyde Morehead. Pianist: Jane Willingham. Closing Prayer: Thad Jackson.
