Today marks the third anniversary of Everett Golihew as our Director of Education. He and his wife Connie mean so much to us. We appreciate his caring ministry to us and look forward to many more years of serving our Lord here at Heritage.
Following the morning worship service, you are invited to step across to the fellowship hall where light refreshments will be served.
Senior Adults! If you signed up to go on the trip to Friendly Farm Restaurant for lunch this Tuesday, the bus and van will leave the church at 10:45 am.
On Saturday, May 30th, the youth will enjoy a quiet day in the park at Quiet Waters, from 2-5 o'clock. They will meet at the church and take the van to the park. You may bring your own activities or plan to hike the trails or biking, kayaking or more. The kayaking does cost money. No food or drink will be provided except for water. If you would like to organize a picnic or snacks, something can be prepared.
Church Sponsored Softball League: Heritage Baptist Church has an opportunity to participate in a fun summer softball league during the months of June and July at the Annapolis Middle School on Forest Drive. The league is coed and you must be 14 years of age or older to play. Game time is 6:30 pm on Mondays. We have hats but you need your glove. If you would like to participate, please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board outside the church office. The first game is scheduled for Monday, June 8th, at 6:30. Make sure Everett has your name for the roster and you have a game schedule.
Frankie Morehead wishes to thank everyone who donated Mother's Day cards and stamps for the inmates at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. Seventy-one cards were given to this ministry.
Supplies needed for VBS. Not all items need to be "new" and they can be dropped in the box outside the office. All donations are greatly appreciated and the following items are still needed: 1) lots of cheese cloth; 2) clear packing tape; 3) natural colored rope and twine; 4) rolls of brown paper; 5) old greenery, ivy or leafy vines; 6) large flattened cardboard boxes; 7) used or new wooden spoons; 7) wooden chop sticks.
Food Pantry Distribution: Tuesday, May 19th - Laura Barnes and Thursday, May 21st - Jean Mitchell.
May 24: Extended Care Workers: Nursery: Kristen Phillips; Preschool: 2's and 3's: Frankie and Heather Morehead; 4's and 5's: Sally Morehead and Rebecca Clingenpeel. Van Driver: Pete Mager. Pianist: Edie Stucker. Closing Prayer: Joyce Harai.

Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course.
