One white rose on the communion table is in memory of Janet Dulin. A member of our church family and Nursery Coordinator for 27 years, she went to be with the Lord on July 19th. She touched many lives and will be missed! Janet was the wife of Bob Dulin, and mother of James Dulin. A memorial service will take place tomorrow, July 27th, at 11 am, in our sanctuary.
The second white rose is in memory of Margaret Trotta, who passed away on July 22nd. She was the mother-in-law of Linda Trotta.
Faith Quest will not meet today.
Several of our youth and leaders are traveling today to Passport Camp located in the Boston area. Please remember them in your prayers as they travel and during the week. They will return on Friday, July 31st.
Donations to the Backpack Buddies program will begin next Sunday, August 2nd. Again this year, we will work with Georgetown East Elementary to help supplement food on weekends and short school breaks for children needing this addition to their diet. As we begin the program for the 2009-2010 school year, our greatest needs are boxes of saltine or Ritz crackers in plastic sleeves, tuna or chicken in pouches, cereal in small bowls and individual packs of instant oatmeal.
Attention Senior Adults! The deadline for signing up to go to Harris' Crab House is next Sunday, August 2nd. The bus and van will leave the church parking lot at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 4th. If you will be eating the crab feast the cost is $36.00 per person, and your money is due next Sunday. Checks should be made payable to Heritage Baptist Church marked accordingly. If ordering from the menu you may pay at the restaurant. A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the church lounge.
Speaking of a Crab Feast, the 64th annual Annapolis Rotary Crab Feast will be on Friday, August 7th, from 5-8 pm. Our pastor, Rev. Henry Green, is chair of the crab feast this year. Come join with 3,000 people from Annapolis and around the country, eat some crabs, and do something great for Annapolis. All the money raised goes to help non-profit groups in Annapolis. Since the beginning of this event, more than $1 million has been given back to the community. Tickets are available in the church office or on line at www.annapolisrotaryclub.com.
If you have not signed up for the B & B Ladies' of Heritage Baptist Church Tea and are planning to attend, please do so today. It will take place from 2-4 pm on Saturday, August 8th. Remember to wear your favorite hat and gloves, and bring your favorite tea cup. A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the church office.
The church's August business meeting will take place on Wednesday, the 12th at 6 pm. Sunday School Officers and Teachers will be presented for the 2009-10 Sunday School year.
All Sunday School Workers, Extended Care Leaders, Faith Quest Workers and Van Drivers are invited to an Appreciation Dinner on Friday, August 21st, from 6-8 pm. Please RSVP to the church office before August 18th. There will be good food and fellowship for all.

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God's unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course.
