The white rose on the communion table is in memory of Myrna Ferrell who passed away on October 7th.  She was the sister-in-law of Clem Gimbert.

This Wednesday Chef Zach will be serving multi bean and ham soup, oven roasted chicken, basmati rice, mixed vegetables and pudding with toppings for dessert.

Our children's choirs begin rehearsing this Wednesday, October 14!  Children ages 4 through grade 1 will be Music Makers; children grades 2 through 5 will sing in the Young Musicians choir.  Rehearsal time is from 6:30 to 7:15.  All are invited.

Christmas is coming!  Everyone is welcome to sing with our Adult Choir as we prepare our Christmas musical.  Rehearsals are from 7:15 to 7:45 every week.  If you have any questions, contact Ralph.

Calling all deacons!  Next Sunday, October 18, our Deacons' Choir will sing in the morning worship service.  All deacons, whether currently serving, inactive, or emeritus, are invited to participate, along with spouses of deacons.  Don't worry if you haven't rehearsed the music, just show up at 10:10 in the sanctuary.  (If that's not possible, then sing with us anyway at 10:30.)

CROP WALK for Hunger will take place next Sunday, October 18th, beginning at 1:30 pm, at Quiet Waters Park.  If you plan to walk see Clair Morehead for a walker's packet.  If you are a sponsor your money is also due that day.  Make checks payable to CROP.  Cash is acceptable.  Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board by the church office.

A Family Game Night will take place on Friday, October 23rd.  Mark your calendar and watch the bulletin for more details!

On Sunday, October 25th, Heritage Baptist Church is having a Craft Fair.  It will take place following the morning worship service. There will be unique gifts and a snack fellowship.  The homemade crafts will be on display and this will be a fun time for all.  At least ten participants are needed for this to take place.  If you have crafts you would like to sell or display, please use the insert in the bulletin and place it in the offering plate or leave it in the church office.

Our Fall Fun Fest will take place on Saturday, October 31st, from 10 am - 12 noon.  Children of all ages will enjoy the pumpkin patch, moon bounce, hayrides, face painting, Dan the Magic Man, games, refreshments and much more.  A new addition will be "Trunk or Treating", also know as Halloween Tailgating.  A group of people decorate their vehicles and park them in the church parking lot.  Trick or treaters can move from car to car showing off their costumes while collecting treats.  Adults may dress in costumes.  An award will be given for the best decorated vehicle.  Your help is needed in all areas!  Please sign up on the bulletin board across from the office.
