The white rose on the communion table is in memory of Herman Lacefield who passed away on October 25th. He was the father of Doug Lacefield. The red rose is in honor of William ShanQi Hogston born in China on March 5, 2008. He arrived home to his new family on October 23, 2009. The joyful parents are Paul and Elizabeth Smith Hogsten. The proud grandparents are Jim and Barbara Smith.

Today, immediately following the morning worship service, there will an important meeting of all parents of youth to discuss PASSPORT for 2010.

The Staff Relations Committee will meet tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.

The Deacons will meet tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock.

This Wednesday the cooks will be serving Tossed Salad, Chicken and Dumplings, Petite Peas with Sweet Pearl Onions, rolls and dessert.

The Red Cross Blood Drive will be here this Thursday, from 1-7 pm. If you would be willing to give a pint of life-saving blood please sign up with Ida Russell today.

The Trustees will meet this Thursday at 7 pm.

The Men's Prayer Breakfast will take place on Saturday at 8 am. Mr. Harry Cole, Executive Director of the Annapolis Light House Shelter, will be the guest speaker. In order for the cooks to know how many to prepare for a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the church lounge.

On Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 11 am, there will be a memorial service for Myrna Ferrell, Flora Gimbert's sister and Clement Gimbert's sister-in-law. All are welcome to attend.

The church's November business meeting will take place on Wednesday, the 11th, at 6:30 pm. Among other matters the election of deacons will take place and the presentation of the 2010 budget. If you are a committee chairperson, please let the office know no later than Friday, November 6th, your intent to present input from your committee. If you will be presenting a motion a written copy must be given.

Operation Christmas Child: Christmas is about sharing the gift of God's Son, Jesus Christ, with the world. You can share Christ with needy children around the world by bringing a shoe box filled with toys and other small gifts to church over the next two weeks. Complete details are in the Operation Christmas Child brochure that you will find on a table in the narthex. Don't forget to bring your shoe box gift to church by November 15th. What a perfect gift to give in honor of Jesus' birthday.
