We are happy to welcome Amy Clements, president of the Spa Creek Conservancy, who will be presenting the 2009 Champion of Spa Creek Award to our church during this morning's service.
The church's November business meeting will take place this Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Among other matters the election of deacons will take place and the 2010 budget will be presented.
On Sunday, November 15th, immediately following the morning worship service, there will be a meeting of parents of youth to finalize the decision choice for Passport 2010.
Next Sunday, November 15, our choir members will be joining their voices with singers from about twenty area churches in a Festival Service of Scripture and Song. This will be held in the (newly-renovated) Naval Academy Chapel, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to this event, which is free. A photo I.D. is required for entry onto the Naval Academy grounds. Only vehicles with proper security clearance are allowed to drive onto the grounds, but a shuttle bus will be provided. For more information, contact the church office.
Operation Christmas Child: Don't forget to bring your shoe box gifts to church next Sunday, November 15th. They will be delivered to the distribution center on Monday, November 16th. What a perfect gift to give in honor of Jesus' birthday. If you need a shoe box, please stop by the church office.
On Sunday, November 22nd, we will have our annual church-wide Thanksgiving Celebration. It will take place at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall. Chef Zachary Pope will prepare the turkey and ham with all the trimmings. You are asked to bring vegetables, salads and desserts.
For your convenience Hand Sanitizers are available throughout the building.
Stay connected with HBC mail: Each week the HBC Publicity Committee emails an update on church events, Wednesday dinner menus and new items on the church web site (www.heritagebaptistonline.com). As winter approaches, we will also utilize email and our web site to notify folks of weather related closing and cancellations. If you are not on the church email list, join us! It's the best way to stay in the loop. Send your email address to

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God's unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course.
