Today, immediately following the morning worship service, there will be a meeting of parents of youth to finalize the decision choice for Passport 2010. We will meet in the youth room.
This evening our choir members will be joining their voices with singers from about twenty area churches in a Festival Service of Scripture and Song. This will be held in the (newly-renovated) Naval Academy Chapel, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to this event, which is free. A photo I.D. is required for entry onto the Naval Academy grounds. Only vehicles with proper security clearance are allowed to drive onto the grounds, but a free shuttle bus will be provided from the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. (There may be a $5.00 fee for parking at the stadium.) Come experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful presentation!
There will be no Youth activities this evening at the church. All Youth are encouraged to attend the Festival Service of Scripture and Song (see above).
The Mission Committee will meet this Tuesday at 7 pm in the church lounge.
Wednesday the cooks will be serving tossed salad, roast beef with roasted vegetables, gravy, rolls and dessert.
Next Sunday, November 22nd, we will have our annual church-wide Thanksgiving Celebration. It will take place at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall. Chef Zachary Pope will prepare the turkey and ham with all the trimmings. You are asked to bring vegetables, salads and desserts.
Again, we are asking for donations of Christmas Cards for the inmates at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. You may make donations of Christmas Cards (unsealed) with stamps on the envelopes or Christmas Cards (unsealed) only or stamps only. Chaplain Chase Wood at the Detention Center personally distributes the cards to the inmates. This gives him an opportunity to share God's love through the compassion of our church. There are approximately 640 inmates at the Center. Last year we donated 234 stamped cards. The deadline for donating the cards is Sunday, November 29th. You may leave the cards and stamps in the church office or give to Frankie Morehead.
Food Pantry Distribution: Tuesday, November 17 - Betty Gottwald; and Thursday, November 19 - Jean Mitchell.
November 22: Worship Extended Care Workers: Nursery: Sally Morehead; Preschool: 2's and 3's: Frankie and Heather Morehead; 4's and 5's: Michelle and Gregg Sleppy. Van Driver: Pete Mager. Pianist: Edie Stucker. Closing Prayer: Bill Darnell.

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God's unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course.
