Today marks the fourth anniversary of Everett Golihew as our Director of Education. He and his wife Connie mean so much to us. We appreciate his caring ministry to us and look forward to many more years of serving our Lord here at Heritage.
We are delighted to have Irene Green leading the music in this morning’s worship service.
The hymns in this morning’s service are favorites of Betsy Zimmerman and were selected in her honor.
Following the morning service, you are invited to step across to the fellowship hall where a reception will take place in honor of Betsy Zimmerman.
There will be no youth activities this afternoon/evening.
Senior Adults! If you signed up to go on the trip to Friendly Farm Restaurant for lunch this Tuesday the bus will leave the church at 10:30 am.
This Wednesday’s dinner Connie Pope and Ruth Anne Shiplette will be serving tossed salad, roast beef, mixed vegetables and banana split pie for dessert.
Heritage’s Family Game Night is scheduled for this Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. If you would like to participate a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the church lounge.
This year Melissa Manuel and Patricia Welker graduate from college. These young ladies have served in significant leadership roles in the life of Heritage Baptist Church. In celebration of their graduation from college there will be in Open House given in their honor on Saturday, May 22, from 3-5 pm in the church lounge. Please come to express your deep appreciation for their commitment to the Lord and to HBC.
Next Sunday, May 23rd, the morning worship service will include recognition of our graduates and dedication of our new hymnals. Following the morning worship we will have a church luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. (Meat and drinks will be provided; you are asked to bring a salad, vegetable, or dessert). After the luncheon everyone is invited to stay for our Youth Choir concert, beginning at approximately 1:00.
Vacation Bible School: The dates are July 19-23 from 9 am–12:30 pm, for children 4 years of age through grade 5. Registration forms are available on the bulletin board across from the office or in the narthex. If you would consider being a volunteer with this important outreach ministry, please contact Everett Golihew or Brandi Eckert.
Attention, VBS Volunteers! You are asked to attend a very important meeting on Sunday, June 13th, following the morning worship service. Lunch will be provided.

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God’s unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course. The following persons have been called to serve as leaders and enablers by the congregation.
