We welcome to the pulpit this morning Rev. Mark Beck. Born and raised in northern Virginia, Mark received a B.A. from George Mason University and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Lynchburg College. Ordained in 1983, he has served churches in North Carolina and Virginia. Rev. Beck currently works as a mental health counselor at Lynchburg General Hospital and has a private counseling practice. He is Jennifer Pope’s and Jessica Beck’s dad, but his real claims to fame are Patrick and Cameron Pope.
Summer Choir is in session! Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00. Everyone is welcome; no prior experience necessary. If you enjoy singing and have a good time doing it, come join us!
The Senior Adults annual picnic will take place on Tuesday, June 22, at 11:30 am, in the fellowship hall. Meat and cheese platters will be provided. You are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Please indicate whether you will bring a side dish or dessert.
Heritage has expanded its VBS to include 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This exciting new adventure on the High Seas will take place from 6:00-8:30 pm during the week of July 19-23. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the blessings of VBS designed especially for youth. If you’ve never been able to volunteer because you work, please consider helping with this evening event. Registration forms are available in the church office. If you have questions, please speak to Tracey Cogliano.
Children’s Vacation Bible School volunteers are still needed! Please see Everett Golihew or Brandi Eckert to get in on this annual outreach and let God use your time and talent for our children. Don’t forget we’ll need everyone (even floaters) at the all volunteer’s meeting scheduled for Sunday, July 11th, immediately following the morning worship service. We’ll feed you, answer your questions and get you armed with prayer for the week of July 19-23.
The Red Cross blood drive will take place at Heritage Baptist Church on Monday, June 21st, from 1-7 pm. If you would be willing to give a pint of life-saving blood or to help with this event, please speak to Ida Russell.

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God’s unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course. The following persons have been called to serve as leaders and enablers by the congregation.
