The annual meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Baptist Fellowship will take place today from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Montgomery Hills Baptist Church in Silver Spring.  Doors open at 4:30, and a complimentary dinner will be served.  A free concert by AMP (an inspirational Christian rap group) will take place immediately following the meeting.  Youth Groups are welcome to attend this concert. For more information, please check the bulletin board across from the kitchen.

The Deacons will meet tomorrow evening at 7 o’clock.

Wednesday’s dinner Chef Zach will be serving green salad, pizza and dessert.  Please join us for dinner, followed by a special Ash Wednesday commemoration during our regular midweek service at 6:45 in the chapel.  

Rehearsals have begun for our Easter Cantata!  Anyone is welcome to come and sing with us.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 7:45 pm.  For further information contact Ralph Manuel.

The Trustees will meet this Thursday at 7pm.

The Men’s Prayer Breakfast will take place on Saturday at 8 o’clock.  The guest speaker will be a representative from Camp Wabanna in Edgewater. In order for the cooks to know how many to prepare for a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the lounge

Remember: Daylight Saving Time begins next Sunday, March 13th.  Be sure to spring forward.

The church’s March business meeting will take place on Wednesday, the 16th, at 6:30 pm.  If you are a committee chairperson and need to be on the agenda, please let the office know by Tuesday, March 15th.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 20th, when our youth will be serving a spaghetti dinner fundraiser, immediately following the morning worship service.  All proceeds will go toward their trip to PASSPORT this summer.

Copies of the Church Directory for 2011 are available on a table in the narthex.  Please one per family.

The Youth 30-hour Famine will take place Friday, April 29th through Saturday, April 30th.  They hope to raise $720.00 to support two hungry children for one year.  Please be generous when asked to give.

On April 30 and May 1, Jennifer Pope and Jessica Pawlikowski will be participating in Avon’s two day 39 mile Breast Cancer Walk.  They each must raise $1,800.  If you are interested in donating, please contact Jennifer, 410-451-1294 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
