October 2009-- HBC was recognized as a Spa Creek Champion Steward this month by the Spa Creek Conservance.  In 2008, HBC, in partnership with the SCC, installed rain gardens throughout church grounds to filter runoff to Spa Creek.  The Heritage rain gardens have become a community showplace for environmental beauty and function.  Photos by Lea Hurt
