Sunday, November 7, Spa Creek Conservancy President Amy Clements will speak during morning worship about HBC's selection as Spa Creek Champion Stewards.
In 2008, HBC in partnership with the Spa Creek Conservancy, planted over 1500 native perrienals, trees, shrubs and seedlings in 7 rain gardens and 2 storm water planters in order to filter runoff water flowing into Spa Creek.
This month, the SCC recognized Heritage Baptist as a Spa Creek Champion Steward. Rev. Henry Green accepted the award on behalf of the church at a press conference Oct. 30 at the church fellowship hall. The award, designed by a local artist, will be soon be on display in the church narthex. (Photo right: Spa Creek Champion Steward Award)
