Word of Power

Jesus studied hard I know
His Father's will to understand;
Learning Scripture day by day
Learning what our God had planned.

In the Temple He was found;
Child of tweleve, He spoke God's Word,
While learned teachers sat amazed
At the wisdom they had heard.

In the wilderness He stood
Strong against sly Satan's guile;
Answered with the Word of God
Through His days and nights of trial.

On the cross He suffered death,
Knowing Schrpture was fulfilled.
In His life and in His death
He did all His Father willed.

From His tomb, Christ rose again.
Now reigns in heaven on high.
God's Word of power still is true.
If we believe, we will not die.
