Rev 5:11-14 - "The Centerpiece of Faith"
Worship is the centerpiece of faith - Isaiah 6:1-8... There was great turmoil "In the year that King Uzziah died..." as in the time John wrote Revelation... Sometimes tribulation comes in a variety of forms...
Today we remember the 32 victims and the 33 families in awful grief this week from the evil brought upon their lives after this weeks tragic event at VT... Today we are sad that so many are suffering... Today we also remember the Blue Angel who died in Beaufort, S.C. trying to inspire others to greatness...
Worship, and especially worship in times of tribulation and tragic turmoil, is the centerpiece that helps to sustain our lives and renew hope. Those without faith still need a means of finding meaning and that is why I chose to believe!
Christian worship, as represented in Revelation 5:11-14 (this is similar to the message of Isaiah), is...
Universal
Everyone has a draw to the mystery of the Holy Other.
Perfect
The use of the number seven represents perfection. When your heart is right, you can't get this wrong!
Redemptive
We are set free from that which weighs down our lives to a new way of thinking and living... Article yesterday about "limbo"...
We are now free to:
Live in the Present
God is always in the present
Redemption is always available today
There is no time like the present
Take Responsibility for the World God Placed in Our Trust

Enjoy the World God Placed in Our Trust
Love God and enjoy God forever
Love others and especially some people in particular
Find a way to have some fun
