Following the morning worship service everyone is invited to step across to the fellowship hall where light refreshments will be served.


The CROP Walk for world hunger will take place today at 1:30 pm at Quiet Waters Park.  If you are a sponsor and paying by check, please make it payable to CWS/CROP and give it to one of the walkers.


The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Heritage Baptist Church tomorrow from 1-7 pm.  If you would be willing to give a pint of life-saving blood please see Ida Russell today for an appointment.


The Missions Committee will meet tomorrow at 1:30 pm.


The DC Baptist Convention will take place Monday, the 22nd, and Tuesday, the 23rd, at the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church.  For a schedule see the bulletin board by the office.


Our guest speaker this Wednesday will be Cyprian Masambe.  He will tell about his work in church planting in his home country of Uganda.  You will want to be present at 6:30 pm.


This Tuesday we will stuff candy bags to be distributed at the Fall Fun Fest.  If you can help, please come to the lounge at 9 am.


On Friday we will be decorating for our Fall Fun Fest.  If you are available to help, we will begin at 5 pm, and pizza and drinks will be served.  Your help would be appreciated.


Our Fall Fun Fest will take place this Saturday from 10 am-12 noon.  Children of all ages will enjoy the pumpkin patch, games, prizes, hay rides, moon bounce, face painting, free photos, Miss Blossom the balloon artist, cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs, cookies, lemonade and more.  Costumes are optional! Volunteers are needed in all areas!  If you would be willing to help with this important outreach to our community, please let the church office know, and if you have already signed up to help you are asked to be here Saturday at 8:30 am.

Please take note of the following schedule for Wednesday, October 31st.  The only activities here will be prayer meeting at 6:30 pm, and adult choir rehearsal at 7:15 pm.


On Sunday, November 4, our church will host the Rockingham Male Chorus, who will sing during the morning worship service.  This is a group of fifty men from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  Make plans to attend, and invite a friend!


Also on Sunday, November 4, our Adult Choir will perform in a Choral Festival Concert in the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel.  Our choir will be part of the festival choir, made up of singers from twenty Annapolis-area churches.  The concert, which begins at 7:00 pm, is free and open to the public.


This Christmas you can share joy and hope with a needy child in a troubled country by taking part in Operation Christmas Child, a mission's project of Samaritan's Purse.  Everyone can participate by bringing a shoe box filled with toys and other small gifts to church over the next three weeks.  Complete details are outlined in the Operation Christmas Child brochure enclosed in your bulletin.  The shoe boxes are due by November 12th.
