The church's November Business Meeting will take place this Wednesday, at 6:30 pm. The 2008 budget will be presented.
The Senior Adult Council will meet this Tuesday at 11 am.
It's not too late to join in as the Adult Choir prepares for its Christmas musical! The name of the musical is "One Small Child," and will be performed on Sunday, December 23. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays beginning at 7:15 pm. We'll rehearse the musical at the beginning of each rehearsal, so that those who are not normally part of the choir may leave as the choir prepares its music for Sunday. No auditions necessary!
If you have an article you would like included in the December newsletter, please bring it to the office by Wednesday, December 14th.
Cooking with Zach: Thanksgiving is fast approaching and what could be timelier than a class in preparing your turkey and all the trimmings! The class is scheduled for this Thursday, at 7 pm. It will take place in the church kitchen and is limited to 10 people. If you are interested in attending this class a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board near the office.
Next Sunday, November 18th, we will have our annual church-wide Thanksgiving Celebration. It will take place in the fellowship hall at 6 pm. Chef Zachary Pope will prepare the turkey and all the trimmings. You are asked to bring vegetables, salads and desserts. In order to know how many to prepare for a sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by the church lounge. Please indicate the number attending.
December is Heritage's month to supply non-perishable food items to the Light House Shelter. This special effort means that the shelter is able to continue distributing over 100 bags to families in the Annapolis community each month in an attempt to help prevent homelessness. If you would like to help in this way please bring your items to the church office, and place them in the box marked accordingly. They will be delivered to the Light House Shelter.
November 18: Extended Session Workers: Greeter: Carol Lee; Nursery: Julie Carskadon and Catherine Irwin; Preschool: Mike Irwin and Adam Cogliano. Van Driver: Clyde Morehead. Pianist: Edie Stucker. Closing Prayer: Bill Darnell.

OUR MISSION
We believe Heritage Baptist Church exists to be a beacon reflecting God's unconditional love in Annapolis and surrounding communities. Using the Bible as our guide, our purpose is to share the Gospel message so that others may become followers of Jesus Christ and to provide an environment that facilitates the strengthening of believers. Each member, like every disciple of Christ, is commissioned to be faithful in the worship of God, Christian ministry, and fellowship with believers. We will continually look to God for power and direction to chart our course.
