Home based small groups will begin this Monday, January 21st, at 7:30 pm.  Carlton and Mary Ann Fulford will host the group at their home in Edgewater.  If you are interested in attending, please call them at 410-956-9246.


English as a Second Language classes will resume this Tuesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, January 24th, from 6:30-8:30 pm.  The classes will end on June 5th.  Flyers are available in the narthex.  For additional information, please contact Tom at 410-798-0925.


Casting Call.  Auditions will be held at 2:00 pm this Saturday, January 26, for anyone interested in trying out for one of the (non-singing) acting roles of Pilate's Plight.  This "short cantata for choir and actors" will be presented on Easter Sunday morning.  The roles we are looking to cast include: Pilate, Helena (Pilate's wife), Marcellus (Pilate's chief aide), Julian (soldier), Blind Man, Lame Man, Mary Magdalene, Samaritan Woman (woman at the well), Simon (man who carried the cross). For further information, contact Maria Slocum or Ralph Manuel.


A few dates remain for staffing the Light House Shelter on weekends during the month of February.  The shelter is located at 206 West Street in Annapolis. Please check the dates on the bulletin board near the church office and sign up if you would be willing to help.


The Men's Prayer Breakfast, featuring good old home cooking, will take place on Saturday, February 2nd, in the church lounge at 8 am. Mike Irwin will be the special speaker.  A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board near the church office.


Soup-er Bowl Sunday to benefit shelter.  Heritage will be hosting its second Soup-er Bowl fundraiser for the Annapolis Light House Shelter on Sunday, February 3rd, at 11:30 am, immediately following the morning worship service, in the fellowship hall.  Chef Zachary Pope will prepare a selection of soups, hearty chili, salad and dessert.  Admission is free, but donations will be requested to benefit the Shelter.


Financial Reports: The Treasurer's Report for December 2007 and a balance sheet for the year ending 2007 are available on a table in the narthex.


Individual Records of Contribution for the year 2007 were mailed last week.  Every person supporting the work of the Lord through Heritage Baptist Church should receive one of these forms showing all financial contributions.  If you ought to receive one and did not, or if you find a mistake, please contact Edie Stucker.
