This afternoon our Orchestra begins rehearsals again, from 4:00 to 5:00, in the Youth Room. If you play an instrument you are welcome to bring it and play along with us. See Ralph Manuel for further information.
Today our Youth Choir moves to a new day and time. The rehearsals are now on Sundays from 5:15 to 6:15, in the Choir Room. All middle school and high school students are invited to come! Following the rehearsal a light snack will be provided.
Youth Monthly Fellowship today at 6:30 pm. Each month, the youth will set aside an evening for fellowship. To kick off the new year, we will be having an ice cream fellowship and games. All youth are encouraged to enter the sundae building contest. Don't forget to bring your favorite candy/topping for decoration!
There will be a series of organizational and informational meetings for our new College and Career Contemporary Service, every Sunday this month, at 7:00 pm., beginning tonight. These meetings are open to anyone interested in the new adventure. (You don't have to be a college and career age person to participate.) Fore more information, contact Matthew Prosser or Tim Keckler.
The Deacons will have a picnic at the home of Mary Ann and Carlton Fulford tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock.
English as a Second Language (ESL) will begin this Tuesday, from 6:30-8:30 pm. If you have any questions, please speak to Tom Antonielli.
The Finance Committee will meet this Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
Next Sunday, September 14th, our pastor will celebrate 10 years of leadership to our church family, community and friends. Please join us as we honor Reverend Green and his family on this special occasion during our 10:30 worship service. Following the service a potluck dinner will take place. You are asked to bring some of your favorite foods to share; meat casseroles, vegetables, salads, desserts.
Bike Annapolis 4th Annual Ride to benefit the Light House Shelter will take place on September 14 Riders will enjoy scenic 5, 15, 25 or 40 mile rides; free kids activities; free refreshments and snacks; free raffle ticket with registration and lots more! Registration begins at 12 noon and the two official start times are 1 pm and 1:30 pm. You are asked to meet at the USNA Stadium, Gate 5 on Taylor Avenue.
"Trash Intelligence" Mr. Billy Davis, the Operation Security Program Manager for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) which is a joint Department of Defense Agency, will be here on Thursday, September 18th, from 7-8 pm. The discussion/demonstration will focus on providing awareness of exactly the type of information is in your trash that the bad guys can and will use against you. We will demonstrate how a bad guy could go through your trash and how they gather information about you for their use. This is a no cost-community service event sponsored by the Annapolis Police Department. Invite your friends and neighbors to come!
