DID YOU KNOW that two years ago our U.S. State Department and other countries began offering opportunities for more than 160,000 displaced Karen (Kah REHN) people from the Thai-Burmese border to begin a new life in a third country?

These refugees arrive in the U.S. with small bags filled with their few possessions, but for many also something that has sustained them through decades of war and suffering-their faith in God. Today on the Thailand and Burma, where less than five percent of the population is Christian, about 40 percent of the Karen are Christians. Groups are being resettled in about 135 American cities and seek churches in which they can worship. Many areas have opened their doors to this ministry.
