Palm Sunday- March 28 -

  • Bible Study at 9:15 AM.
  • 10:20 AM- Children's Palm Processional: all children are invited to gather in the church narthex just before the 10:30 AM worship.  They will be given palms and once all worshippers are seated, the children will open the service with a processional down the main aisles.  All children are welcome.  You do not have to be members to participate!
  • 10:30 AM Palm Sunday Morning worship.  During morning worship, HBC's Choir, under the direction of Rev. Ralph Manuel, will perform select pieces from the cantata The Lenten Sketches.  The entire cantata will be performed during the Maundy Thursday Service at 7 PM on April 1.  Children will dismiss from sanctuary for a very special Palm Sunday Faith Quest
  • Faith Quest Children's Church- Come meet the donkey who played such an important role in Jesus' Palm Sunday journey!  All children from kindergarten-5th grade welcome.

Maundy Thursday - April 1 - 7 PM

  • Presentation of The Lenten Sketches, a cantata by Joseph Martin, performed by HBC's Adult Choir.  This vibrant, moving multi-media performance is based on works of sacred art, focusing on the most important scenes in the last day's of Christ's life.  Of this work, composer Joseph Martin said: "Inspired by the life and message of Jesus Christ, artists in every medium have endeavored to capture the magnificence of His ministry among us.  From poets and painters to singers and sculptors, the human spirit has long labored to convey through artistic expression the deep, deep things of faith.  So vast is this great mystery that no canvas can capture it and no song can fully express its beauty and emotion."  Admission is free and all are invited.
  • Holy Communion will be offered.
  • Leave your burdens at the cross: in preparing hearts to recognize this holy day, a wooden cross will be placed in the sanctuary by the baptistry.  You are invited to write your burdens on provided paper and nail them to the cross.
  • Nursery Care will be available.
